What they say about us...
Allie Maisey Eden Wellbeing August 2021
I moved into Nexus just over 2 months ago and it was such a great decision. I needed to locate to new premises due to changes enforced by Covid and Nexus was a natural choice, with its prominent location, ample parking and the added bonus of having such a lovely café that many of my clients use.
The staff are super friendly and so many of our clients comment on what a lovely welcome they receive when coming into the building. We have everything we need here and it totally suits my business needs. Having 24/7 access is a real bonus, as well as a daily cleaner. It has made life very easy!
Helen Riddell, Head of Business Support at the National Trust, said:
“The team at Nexus really looked after us. They give a consistent, reliable and friendly level of service, and are very personable and customer-focussed, while sticking to the rules about the way the office needs to operate.
“The quality of fit-out throughout is of a very high standard – James has ensured that – and the café is very good. It offers quality food at very reasonable prices and it’s a real plus being able to sit outside and look over the water as you have your coffee.”
Phil Young, Director of Stimulus Consulting, said:
“We were probably in the first wave of businesses that moved into Nexus after it opened and in that time we’ve had four different offices that have met our changing business needs. Each time we’ve moved it has been very easy and with minimal downtime as the Nexus team are here on site and able to sort everything.
“It was the availability of parking, as well as the high quality furnishings and fittings that attracted us here. We specifically wanted a serviced office as we didn’t want to have to deal with all of the extra items like cleaning, internet or furniture. Nexus has made it all really easy for us.
“The location in Cheney Manor is great. It’s convenient for all of our staff who live across Swindon and beyond, as well as easy for any visitors we have as it’s only a short taxi ride or a 10 minute walk from the train station.
“There’s always a friendly face at Nexus, which is a real positive, and someone to answer your questions or help us out. The onsite cafe is a godsend too, so I don’t have to go far to grab lunch, but if anyone wants to go outside at lunchtime for some fresh air, there’s places to go for a walk too.”
Jo Dickinson of Barnardos says:
Nexus has allowed us to grow as our Trailblazer project has expanded. Since we moved in in 2019 we have gone from a scattering of offices across two floors, to now being amalgamated into one area on our own floor. This is the beauty of Nexus, as we have expanded we can take on more space as we need.
The Barnardos Trailblazer project works with young people from across Swindon, and due to the pandemic we needed to move our therapy services from being delivered inside schools, to now being delivered at Nexus. Our new office means that we have dedicated therapy rooms in bespoke space that has been designed for us.
Confidentiality and sensitivity are very important to us as we now have our service users and their parents/guardians visiting; the reception team at Nexus is very aware of this and it helps everything run smoothly.
We initially chose Nexus as it was in a good location, had plenty of parking and offered nice offices with everything we needed. We’ve stayed and grown here because Maria and the team have been very accommodating to our needs and it has been easy to grow our space. Our central IT department worked with Maria through the move on the internet and data services, and ensuring there was minimal downtime – we just told Maria what we needed and where and she set it up.
Nexus is an attractive building, that’s smart and comfortable inside. The café is very good quality and a nice environment in the summer too.
At Nexus we get a really personal service and we know that all our needs are being met.
Chris Dawes, Open Dawes Training
Open Dawes Training was set up around four years ago and my initial move was from home into another business centre in Swindon. At this point I just needed space, and that’s what I got there. As the business grew, I needed more than just space – I needed all the other aspects of a serviced office that makes a business more professional and streamlines my processes; a reception area, the phones being answered, onsite café, and meeting rooms.
I believe that you’ve got to demonstrate yourself as professional and arguably play bigger than you are, and coming to Nexus has allowed me to do this. They help me look and sound better, give a great first impression, plus I can have the right size and type of space for my business needs at any time.
My office doubles up as a recording studio for a separate arm of my business, Chris Dawes Comms, where I can record sports commentary, voiceovers and presentations. I have added sound proofing, but compared to previous places where the walls were paper thin, you can’t hear anything that would disturb your work from other people here.
I’ve got a lovely view over the lake at the back from my office too – many people who have lived in Swindon all their lives don’t know it’s here, but I get to look out over it every day.
Andy Madgwick Operations Director Financial Services 4 Schools Ltd August 2020
A year down the line since our move to the Nexus Business Centre, I can honestly say that we have been delighted.
The move last year went very smoothly and we have been made to feel very welcome in our new office space. All the Nexus staff are a pleasure to work with and nothing has been too much trouble for them in helping us settle in.
The ample parking, cafe facilities and quality of the office environment were exactly what we were looking for. They have made an excellent base for us to continue to run and grow our business, even in what has been a challenging year operationally.
